In the recent weeks and months, the recruitment industry has noticed large contenders entering into the game with the addition of Facebook and Google. Still early to see how they will ultimately affect the industry. With that said and from our performance review, Facebook is and could be a valuable opportunity for job boards to significantly increase job views, Facebook likes and applications.
We monitored the performance of job postings with and without boosting on Facebook. By committing a daily budget of $1 to boost the advertisement, the job posting views increased by at least 8x than a traditional post listed on Facebook. By increasing the daily budget to $3, job posting views increased up to 30x.
Based on the results of the Facebook campaigns and positive feedback from the employers, job boards should look to include ‘Targeted Social Media Marketing’ into their services as an up-sell opportunity.
